Meet Mrs. Hamm

My name is Darla Hamm, this is my eighth year as principal at St. Agnes School in Vermillion, South Dakota.  I love working at St. Agnes School!  Before accepting the principal position I taught Preschool for 2 years and First Grade for 4 years here at St. Agnes.

I have lived in Vermillion now for fifteen years, but I am originally from Colorado where I graduated from Regis University in Denver in May of 2000 with my degree in Elementary Education.  In 2002 I earned my Masters of Arts degree in Elementary Education, with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education.  I completed my degree in Educational Administration, for PreK-12 grade, in June of 2011.

Outside of school is centered around my husband, John, and our 3 children.  John and I got married in October of 2002.  We had our first child, Austin, in April of 2004.  In September of 2006 we welcomed twins into our family.  Aidan and Hailey have been a great blessing.  As a family we spend a lot of time traveling to see our family and friends in Colorado, Kansas, and Canada.  When I am not at school or traveling I enjoy reading, watching/playing sports, scrapbooking and spending time with my family.
