Dear Parents & Guardians,                                                                               

Preschool Registration:  Please let any of your family or friends know that we are now accepting registration for Preschool 2009-2010.  We serve children 3-5 years old and we offer morning and afternoon sessions. We have Mon/Weds and Tues/Thurs sessions and Monday–Thursday sessions. Morning preschool runs 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. Afternoon preschool runs 12:45 – 3:15 p.m. Red & Gold childcare will be available for preschoolers.  You can pick up Preschool registration forms or Red & Gold packets at the office.

            Security System:  The security system is now up and running.  The doors are locked now during the school day.  Just push the button by the main (south) entrance, and someone will let you in.  Our goal is to keep our students as safe as possible while they are in our care.  Please call if you have any questions or concerns.

            Cookie Dough Sale:  Our three main sources of revenue for the school are the parish subsidy, tuition, and fundraising.  There will be a cookie dough fundraiser this spring. Feel free to participate, if you desire.  This year cookie dough proceeds will go towards purchasing a new Religion Curriculum.  This year’s kick-off for cookie-dough sales will be Thursday, April 16^th.

            Math/Science/Technology Open House:  On Thursday, April 23^rd, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. the school will hold an Open House for parents, students, parishioners, and community members.  We will have activities and projects that show what kinds of things we are doing in math, science and technology.

            Summer Care:  The Red & Gold Summer Care Program will run from the first day to the last day of summer break, August 19^th.  You can pick up a packet from the school office or the gym, by the sign-out sheets.  For more information call our Red & Gold Director, Becky Thomas, at 659-3261.

Announcements & Reminders:

• Confessions – Students in grades 2-5 will have the opportunity to do the sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday, April 2^nd.
• Knights of Columbus – will be holding a Fish Fry and Bingo Event – Friday, April 3^rd at the St. Agnes gym.  Menu items include: Pollock, Catfish, Mac & Cheese, beans, chips and dessert!  Serving Times 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Join in playing Bingo – starting at 6:30!!!  This Family Fun Event will have the proceeds shared (50/50) with St. Agnes School.
• PTSA Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7^th, at 7:00 p.m. in the O’Connor Library.  Please join us in discussion about the Classic, planning of an end of the school year dance for students and families, and beginning to prepare for next year.
• Easter Break – there will not be school on Good Friday, April 10^th, or Easter Monday, April 13^th.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 14^th.
• The Spring Music Program is scheduled for Thurs., May 7^th, at 7:00 p.m.
• The School Board Meeting will be on Thursday, April 16^th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.
